Traveling in Switzerland

Cobbled stone streets, tumbling vineyards, glistening lakes and a never ending supply of snow capped mountains. Switzerland has plenty to offer visitors year long.

The landlocked country of Switzerland in Europe might seem small but it contains multitudes within its boundaries. Switzerland is split into 26 different cantons, each offering their unique set of things to do.

Switzerland is very easily accessible from anywhere in Europe either via flying, or even better, by taking the high speed train.

One thing to keep in mind when contemplating traveling to Switzerland is the cost. Together with the Scandinavian countries, Switzerland is one of the most expensive places in Europe to travel. Consider an average daily budget of around $200.

If you are planning on staying for a couple of days consider investing in the Swiss Travel Pass for 3 to 15 days. The pass provides you access to all trains, boats and busses as well as entrance to over 500 museums.
